Northida Homes is a company with a long-standing dedication to providing the type of craftsmanship that is often missing in today’s construction market.

We have built every style of home in a wide variety for price ranges for customers that have heard of our reputation for attention to the important details that go into both a new home and a remodeling project.

Thomas Orjala, the owner and president, began his construction career in the early 70’s working in a sub-division in Kankakee, Illinois. He soon noticed that some of his fellow workers were just on the job to get a paycheck at the end of the week. Thomas wanted to learn all he could and moved up to the foeman position of the company in less than two years.  It has never been about the paycheck, but about how to give the client the best possible quality and service.

After moving to North Idaho in 1974, Thomas formed his own crew building homes for other contractors. After about ten years of working for others he went on his own, contracting the complete home from the ground up. The last 25 years has seen a long parade of projects, for small additions and repairs to million dollar homes up to 8000 square feet.

Today the company is comprised of a staff of half a dozen skilled carpenters, a great bunch of sub contractors, and dedicated office staff and Thomas at the helm.

Perhaps the best tool we use on the job is experience. Nearly 40 years of on the job experience and hundreds of construction projects says a lot. Let it speak loudly as we go to work to bring your dreams to reality.
